The Leaves design is our artistic variation on the Agra carpets of the Mughal Empire. Agra has long been the capital of the famed Mughal Empire. Agra expanded greatly during the second half of the 16th century and the first half of the 17th century. Carpet weavers were brought here from all over the Persian Empire to enhance carpet weaving. Today Agra still contains a wealth of remarkable carpets skillfully woven by the artisans of this great city.
